Vacation | Hilton Head

About every other year, my family takes a vacation.  We have previously gone to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and they were kind enough last vacation to come to the Wisconsin Dells since I was very pregnant and crabby.  This time we wanted to go somewhere new and still stay in the states.  We decided on Hilton Head, SC.  We researched it though our time share, but nothing was available so we decided to try our luck with HomeAway.com and see if we could find a house for us.  By far, the best vacation ever.

I was already in Atlanta for work, so Jeff and Cameron flew down and met me in Atlanta.  It was crazy to have them with me in Atlanta since when I’m there I’m usually in total work mode.  We stayed in the hotel right across from my office and you would have thought that it was Disney if you were gauging it from Cameron’s reaction.

We drove from Atlanta to Hilton Head, SC – about 5 hours.  We spent the next 6 days enjoying the Island including finally getting my beach cruiser with a basket!  I also experienced our first tropical storm, and although it rained for a few of the days we were there, we made the most of it!  It was an amazing week….

So grateful that I have family that is willing to try new stuff like this and that is really alot of fun to be around!  Love you guys and cannot wait till the next trip!

P.S.  Apparently no one has ever told me about my numerous chins…which I attribute to the fact that the only thing I felt like I could keep down at the point was McDonalds Fries and Cheesburgers and Chocolate Shakes.  Is that normal?
