Happy Friday everyone! I don’t know about you, but this week flew by and I am so ready for the weekend to catch up on life! Also so excited to once again bring you an installment of Friday Favorites – Bloggers. Here are 5 more amazing women bloggers who I have been able to meet over the last few weeks. Enjoy!

3 – Raising Miss Mommy – Amanda said it all in her title – just when she thought she was grown up on comes her beautiful little girl.  She writes about raising her daughter, DIY, and amazing food.  Enjoy!

4 – MommyHuh – A politics loving mommy from the Washington, DC area who makes me laugh every time I read her.  She is blunt and honest and has great advise and a healthy perspective on what it means to be a mom today.

So this week I have been participating in the SITS Girls 31 Days To A Better Blog.  At times, it has been a bit overwhelming, but by far, it has been the absolutely best workshop I’ve done since I have started blogging.  One of the assignments this week was to make some new blogging buddies.  I have been intimidated to make new buddies in the blog world because I didn’t really know what I had to offer.  This blog has been a million different things and finding a niche has been a bit tough at times.  But I found some amazing women who are in the same boat.  So today I want to introduce you to a few of my new blogging buddies!  Check them out and tell them that I sent ya!

1 – ScooterMarie – A fellow Wisconsin dweller, Scooter Marie has a voice that really draws you in.  I’m pretty much convinced we are blogger besties in training.  She has a beautiful family and an awesome sense of humor.  Oh, and she swears in her posts.  {heart}

2 – Blairadise – An American born beauty who now lives in South Africa with her little girl and husband.  Her post today made me cry and go right back to those last days of being pregnant.

3 – The Ederington Family – A rancher wife and mother of two little boys with amazing taste in music, Ashley is a super woman.  She is studying to be a biology teacher and still has time time with all that to keep up her blog and enjoy the world around her.  I’m in awe.

4 - It’s Time For More Coffee – A pastors wife in Bismark, ND who loves to have a good time and laugh at those little things us moms do that may not be perfect, but can be good enough.

5 – Agent Mom – This super mom is an entertainment agent to her two kids.  Has a great sense of humor and you can tell she really is passionate about what she does for her kids.

6 – Get Carried Away – Carrie is a full time working mom to two little ones who just finished running 356 miles in 365 days (she actually finished in 9 months)!  She is a fellow Pinterest addict and all around superwoman!

There are so many other blogging buddies I cannot wait to introduce you to!  Check back next week to meet a few more or see other favorite bloggers here!  Have a great weekend!  Have any big plans?

If there was a show for blog hoarders, I think I would definitely be in the first season.  Why keep all this amazing content in a bushel basket?  I want to share them with you!  So, for the next few Fridays, I want to start to share with you bloggers that I adore so you have some fun new weekend reading!

1 – Chez Larson  – Betina Larson is amazing with her sense of style and simple organization.  I mean if Martha Stewart loves her – you will to!

2 – Bower Power – Katie Bower is an amazing mother who has been featured on the Nate Burkus show and has an amazing eye for beautiful things, photography, and has an amazing sense of humor.  She will remind you of an old friend you don’t get to see often enough.  I adore her! (and her husband is really hot – just ask her ;)

3 – Enjoying the Little Things – Kelle Hampton is a photographer and mother of two beautiful little girls based in Florida.  She is the inspiration for my bangs obsession and my quest for the perfect red lipstick.  Her view on every day life is something that makes you slow down and remember what is really important.

4 – 6th Street Design School – Kirsten Krason is an interior designer – but don’t let that freak you out.  She has an accessible design style and runs a weekly Feature Friday to bring you into the doors of some of those houses that you are curious about.

Visit some of these great bloggers – leave them a comment and tell them who sent you!  Have a great weekend everyone!

Whore Pie Dinner

I cannot take any credit for the recipe or the naming of this delicious dish.  All the credit for that goes to one of my favorite bloggers The Heir to Blair.  She recently posted the directions for this amazing chicken pot pie so cheap and easy that it must be renamed Whore Pie.  Jeff and I have had quite a few chuckles this week as we finish up the leftovers.  I’ll let your imagination run wild on that one.

Whore Pie

aka chicken pot pie, named for how cheap & easy it is.

1 box Pillsbury refrigerated pie crusts
2 cans Campbell’s Cream of Potato soup
2 cans chicken breast (I used half a rotisserie chicken instead)
frozen carrots, peas, carrots (I used a whole bag)

Line your pie pan with one pie crust.  Mix soup, chicken, & veggies in a bowl.  Toss this mixture on top of the pie crust.  Place the second pie crust on top & press edges.  Make like a serial killer & stab a few holes in the top of the crust.  Pop in the oven for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

to quote Heir to Blair

yeah, it’s salty.  no, it’s not organic. but it is damn tasty & super-easy for those nights where everything goes bonkers.

It was excellent I will have to say and when I put it into the calorie counter - if you let it provide 8 servings - only about 400 calories per serving!  Enjoy!
